Hi people,
I dont know if this is a stupid question, but, Is it possible to get a karaoke player that is rackable?

If not would this be ok for small pubs and clubs?

You can buy rack mounting kits too, if you have a look around.

The Blue Laser comes complete with rack ears, cables & mic.
Has a wide choice of video output (including VGA), pitch adjustment, on screen timer & echo
With the USB port you can also play direct from Hard Drive, Memory Stick etc.
It will also play Divx.

I wouldn't part with mine

With another company I occasionlu work for, I often use a VocoPro 301 multi-disc jukebox system with rack mounting kits and fully flight-cased. No need to carry all the discs separately but you gotta make sure the flight-case is kept level or you can spend hours putting them all back in their slots again! It's dead easy to use with jog-dial controls and is fully programmable.

Now 301 discs may sound a bit limited in capacity but, after 9 years, I know which discs get played and which don't. It's also got a slot for discs not kept in the system so you can still play others. They're not cheap but, if you can get your hands on one, it'll make your life much easier.

When I used to lug my JVC around I had rack ears fitted to it with VELCRO.
Never worked loose , never let me down , easy to remove when the time came to sell it.

Kam also do a DVD5500 that I found to be excellent and very reliable. The last time I looked they were under £100.

Is this not the Kam model that suffers from an overheating problem? I'm sure we've discussed this on here before.

Hello

Just adding to this thread really...

I have a Bluelaser DVG-888 multiformat karaoke player which can be rack mounted - but these are hard to come by now, superseded by the Bluelaser dvd-888 USB (silver) which is pants compared to the black version.

Recently though i updated my karaoke player to a new 1U unit made by Madboy model number MFP-1000 multiformat karaoke player, which now resides inside my dj flightcase :)

There is currently a good deal on Amazon for this player inc 22 Zoom karaoke CD+G discs :)

Thank you

Glenski
