Ok this is the on comming series of Ebooks brought to you by me! (Now with free spelling mistakes :D) If any of the bit are incorrect tell me and i will edit them. Sorry for it being a .DOC my PFD creator has stopped working!

Or you could just use Maxtor's formatting tools from their site.

Normally the tools that they give you aren't the best things for the job. Not ideal for professional use.

They worked fine with both my Maxtors. I've never had any problems working 2 - 3 nights a week.

Tryed it.....NTFS only....

Think it might be something to do with the works laptop......not sure....:)

Download Maxblast to your desktop PC & try it from there. If that dosen't work, I'd think there was something wrong with the HDD

They went back....still not happy with the customer service i got.....a feel a letter coming on......

Now both Freecom 250 classic.....steel cased, quite robust......now happy doing them in FAT32.........:)

Apart from the fact that it's in NTFS, which is not too much of a hardship, since all my editing is done on a PC, the Lpatop formatted it first shot, Cortex loved it, spoke to it very promptly and politely, so mobile drive up and running as we speak. :D If I use this one as the laptop slave NTFS won't even matter at all. Big question, what to get for Cortex mobile then? :confused: :D
