You have never mentioned that before :p :p

Is it not easier to use a controller that you can plug a harddrive with your entire collection in rather than using sd cards ?? It is the one thing that put me off the sd controller.

Twinspin recently sold his SDJ1 on here. I think it's a perfectly acceptable piece of kit, let down simply by the fact that the Cortex offers much more for only a few more pounds.

but if ya hard drive goes down and for the size of the sd cards its worth it

I'm not going to touch digital for a while. I'd prefer to just carry CDs around with me, because i know (unless my CD player dies) that they're reliable.

Such a naive thing to say.

How many times must we have this conversation...:D

HD players and computers are also reliable. Electrical equipment can go wrong, whether it be a CD player or computer or fridge. ;)

Yes i know, but for piece of mind, i'd prefer to have hard copies of my songs rather than data on a laptop/hardrive/computer etc. I just prefer CD's to digital, that's all :)

You don't need a backup fridge, beer will keep cool enough in a garage at this time of year :D :D

You haven't seen my garage. Not a great deal of room in there for beer. ;)

I know one gig where he did. The client insisted all the DJs did and that he'd pay their bill. ;)

To paraphrase an advert " Take one HD to a Disco? Never! "

It appears to be some of us Geriatrics who embrace the new technology with the greatest alacrity. ;) :D :D

( Probably cos we've grown sick and very tired of carrying umpteen cases of Wax Cylinders/Records/CD's about over many years. ;) :D :D )
