Mic cables over short runs with a terminator on the end of the line are generally acceptable. I know I've used them on a few occasions! :)

I spotted that one too, but having sent a message to the seller he confirmed that the cable is in fact a proper DMX cable :)

If it's not, will hook it up and see what happens. Only want the cable to hook up my dmx desk to the pair of scanners I have on the T-Bar. The current cable would not be long enough in a gig situation.

The only 'local' store is in Norwich which is about 30-45 mins drive. It's a Maplins actually!! :D

Most of my DMX cables are standard black 3 core 0.75mm rubber flex(power cable).

I've been using this for 8 years, one of my long cables is 16 mtrs for spanning big stages where I have lighting either side for dance events etc....never had an ounce of trouble using this stuff, it's not sheilded and works a dream.
