Converting DVD to WMV / MPEG

Does anyone have any good reccomendations for software that will convert DVD's to either WMV or MPEG format files?

Also any reccomendations for software for editing MPEGS as well?

Well not only that is copyright then again it depends on what kind of DVDs you are ripping. I use this for backing up my DVDs http://www.xilisoft.com/dvd-to-divx-converter.html It works unlike some!

Copyright isn't an issue for the DVD's that i'll be ripping, they are showreels & demos etc that i've been given permission to copy.
