Hi,

I took my lights to a venue today to set up for a concert. When i got there i found one of my dynamo mirrors had been broken in transport or in unpacking. I need to know how I can get my hands on another mirror and what steps i can take to stop this happening again. I have arriba flight bags instead of flight cases as they are easier for me. Any suggestions?

Thanks

Jamie

I would say either get a mirror cut and made to fit the unit, or talk to prolight.

Hi,

Phoning prolight would be good, but they dont have a phone number. I might get a mirror cut, sounds like a good idea.

Thanks

Jamie

Look on eBay for "plastic mirror tiles" they are £1.20 each

They are small square tiles and you can get 3 or 4 mirrors out of each one.

We use them (not on all lights) and the effect is exactly the same as a normal glass mirror and the plus side is that they won't break as they are quite flexible.

i don't recommend that when ours broke i replaced it with one at first, then put the lights up at home the gobos where a lot smaller on the plastic mirror and nowhere near as bright, looked ok on it's own but when put with the other lights it was too obvious to use

what steps i can take to stop this happening again.

Yeah, buy proper cases and not flimsy bags. I have a few of the bags but only for led pars which don't have any moving parts or mirrors and lamps to break.
