Well, not so bad I supose.

I've just set my gear up dfor the first time in a couple of weeks, and their is a static/white noise coming very faintly from both speakers. Any ideas?

Gear is a Numark twin CD player, Citronic CDM 8:4 mixer, Cerwin Vega amp. Nothing has changed since the last time I used it - no damage. All been stored in the house, dry in the right position etc.

Any ideas?

PS: I'm searching as I type, before I get slated for not using the search function, but it is rather time sensitive...I'm due to be making some loud noises by 10pm!

Have you check all the leads???

Could have damaged cable somewhere. Just move the cables about. If you then get a rise in sound or other noises appear, change that lead.

Also, are the speakers turned all the way up??? You will get this type of noise if the amps or signals on the mixer are turned up all the way.

Where are you getting this sound from??? Is it from the HF drive??? I get this faint noise in my mackies and all my other speakers. You only hear this when you put your ear up to the speakers.
