The forum rules have been updated. Changes to the rules have been highlighted in red below. Could all members please take a moment to familiarise themselves with the new additions, and comply where applicable.

Thank you.

10. Signatures: You can set up a signature to appear at the end of every post you make via the User CP tab. Signatures may not contain more than 3 lines of standard-sized text, plus a brief description of the towns/counties/areas you cover as a DJ. Signatures may contain up to 2 links. You may alternatively add a 60 pixel high banner but this will count as 2 of your 3 permitted lines of standard-sized text. You may not add a link in your signature to a site that is similar to this. Only Mobile Discos businesses may be advertised in signatures. (see rule 14* for exceptions).

14. Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed (Except in the circumstances listed below): This includes using the forum email and PM system to spam other members as well as posts on the forums. Spamming & Trolling are not permitted under any circumstances whatsoever, and advertising is only allowed in specific limited circumstances. *Members who have purchased a Banner Advertisement may be allowed to post a related link in their signature, but only by strict approval of the Site Admin. If you wish to advertise mobile disco related items for sale to forum members and others, please advertise in the 'For Sale/Wanted' forum section. No trade adverts are permitted.

23. All communication should be in the English language and text language should not be used. The MDD is a professional forum for professionals in our industry, as such, please try to communicate on the forum using the correct grammar and punctuation. We ask that you make a concise effort to make your posts as easy to read as possible. Please use a spell checker if necessary.

25. Member ‘Code of Conduct'.
Any member found to be in breach or our ‘codes of conduct’ below, may be sanctioned, removed from the forum.
a) Plagiarism
b) Theft of any pictures that are posted in the Gallery section of this forum.[/B]
c) Operating illegally
d) Letting down customers by failing to show

26. Member Details.
It is a requirement of the forum that all members provide their full name, location and business name in their user profile.

32. Rules Infraction Policy: In order to enforce these forum rules, upon violation of this agreement MDD reserves the right to take any action deemed reasonable without further warning, including actions not listed in this document.

As a general rule, sanctions against members breaking forum rules may take the form of a private warning; a public warning; a trip to the ‘Sin Bin’ (this means that all posts made by the sanctioned member will have to be manually approved by a Mod or Admin before appearing on the forum); a temporary ban; or a permanent ban – depending upon the severity of the breach an at the sole discretion of the Site’s Mods and Admins.

The Mobile Disco Directory forum operates a ‘3 strike’ rule with regards to the Sin Bin. Any member that is placed in the Sin Bin for a third time may have their forum membership removed and be banned from the site.

With an aim to further promote profesionalism within our industry, there is a new addition to the forum rules. See below.

Rule 25 d) Letting down customers by failing to show

Any member of the forum or directory found to be letting down clients by not showing up may have their forum membership and/or directory listing removed without prior notification.

The Mobile Disco Directory and the Mobile Disco Directory Forum are for the benefit of professional DJs.

"Fly by night" operators who frequently let down customers are not welcome here, or in the industry as a whole.
