I have been reading about the class d cd bass bins certain members have been discussing, Now I have been looking at these my self as i want to buy some Bins and these are in my budget at around £300.00, If anyone has bought these class d bins would be very grateful for your review on these pleaseor any other Bins with good sound, g Class D seem very helpful as i have been in contact with them they say they will go with speakers fine which are JBL EON'S 15in @80hms 225 watts per channel peak 900 watts per channel rms Also I'm confused as to getting the right power of amp to run these speakers as my studio master amp is 270 watts per channel @80hms which is probly under powered?
Thanks
Paul

Just get a bigger amp. It will cost more as the subs are 8ohm.

Something like this would be good for your needs.

The amp is rated at 450 watts at 8ohm but it's good to have a some head room.

I realise you are on a budget but a single powered sub would give you a much better match to your tops.
The obvious candidates are.

The DB sub-15 at around £500 it is 800watts rms 132db spl
The mackie 1501 at around £650 it is also 800 watts rms 128db spl
The RCF 705 it is 750 watts rms. and around the £700 130 spl

Of these I have heard all three and would say the RCF has a very nice sound but is the heaviest to carry.
The DB is very loud and is the lightest to carry.
The mackie while not bad is heavy and the lowest power of the three choices. Also have heard a rumour of the quality going downhill since the moving over to chinese manafacture.

I would not match class D's with eon myself as the power outputs are not as compatable as I would have liked. That is my feelings on the matter im sure others have differing or similar feelings.

You could probably find a second hand one of the above subs for around the £300 mark if you shop around.

Try W-audio,

you could get this (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/W-Audio-Zenith-S118-18-Sub-Bass-Bin-Speaker-650w-RMS_W0QQitemZ310114767430QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Con Elec_SpeakersPASystems_RL?hash=item483447d246&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1690%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C 240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A2%7C294%3A50) and then when funds allow get an amp and use briged mode.

or this (http://www.djsuperstore.co.uk/item/speaker-systems-accessories/365901-w-audio-wsr115p-active-sub-%C2%A3449.99) probs better for your needs i have seen them on ebay "new" for less.

Single new powered sub is often an attractive option. ( Obviously s/h could be even more attractive :D ) Cost wise they're remarkably similar to buying a pair of Class-D's, an amp and crossover.
Bins, £300
Amp, £250
Crossover £ 75
Total £625, with the facility to mix and match, and also the crossover gives the means to balance subs to tops. You pays your money...........................................
