View Full Version : Thomann T.Amp e800 - Fault!

Hi,

I've picked up one of these amps (Thomann T.Amp e800) as part of a job lot of speakers and amps (actually, I've got two, but one works and one doesn't).

When you power it up, the power light comes on and the right hand "Pro" (Protect?) light comes on, and nothing else happens, no fans, no nothing. Looking at the amp's internals the main power to the transformer is switched by a relay which is remote controlled from the main amp PCB, and this isn't coming in (probably because the amp thinks it's either overheated, short circuited, or faulted in some other way).

However, I don't know if I should be able to tell exactly what it thinks the problem is from the fault light on the front because I don't have the manual and Thomann don't publish the manuals on their website.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it, or have the Manual for this amp or a similar model from the same manufacturer? Or failing that, can anyone recommend someone who repairs amps in the South West?

All help appreciated,

Julian
