Guys,

I'm currently using Coffee Cup (CC) html editor to upload to my site via Smart ftp on vista.

The problem is that when I've done the page in CC it all looks fine and dandy but when its published it looks like this:

We are fully covered by 10M Public Liability

and also here

Contents Copyright  Spirits High 2006 - 2009

:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

It only happens in these 2 places where there shoud be a "£" and a (c) symbol

Any ideas what's causing it?

Also, make sure the charset is set correctly between the HEAD tags -

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1" />

Cheers Danno, it's currently

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8">

take it that needs changing then ;)

I always use ISO-8859-1 and remember having similar problems when using UTF-8 before, couldn't tell you why though! I'm sure Marc J can fill us in..

I usually use ISO-8859-1 for sites, but for some reason UTF-8 for HTML emails....can't remember the reasons why exactly.
