As the title says I can't get it to work on vista.

It launches the screen but doesn't fill the gaps if that makes sense :D

anyone any similar problems?

As an update it's saying: Error in the XML document (30.16) and here's the details :eek:

See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

If anyone PC gurus can put that into english for me that would be great ;)

Nope!
Works fine for me and I'm using Vista.

Thanks Gary ;)

Did a re-install but hasn't helped. Not a complete drama as MM is on the laptop

I don't bother using it. I just copy and paste files onto the drive.

This might sound daft but when you do that does it automatically get recognised by the control unit?

I always thought you had to "Update database" when you've added new files?

I just create a new database when I have copied and pasted stuff across. The only downside is that you will lose any playlists you have made.

It's posts like this which make me realise Cortex was the right choice for me.

Durrr, well I don't use Deneon Music Manager, which in my limited and very humble experience, seems to have more than its fair share of glitches.

I am guessing that you copy and paste mp3s onto a hard drive and the Cortex finds them?

In which case that is the same way that I do it as I don't use Music Manager....durrr

No. Not quite. Copy and paste yes, but databases are verified by usually laptop, as Cortex can't do NTSC drives. I use the Cortex Manager software to update drives. Don't know if the Denon equivalent works likewise, but if you don't empty the recycle bin before updating, it can induce errors.

Rightly or wrongly each time I add mp3s to the hard drive (drag and drop) I delete the Cortex Database file off the HD using a laptop , then plug in to the Cortex which says it has no Database and invites you to add it again.

I only use Windows XP though.

Call to Denon help line needed Paul?

Which is pretty much what I do on the Denon.

Spirits - Sorry I wasn't much help mate, I was on my way out of the door to 2 meetings with customers.

I'm on Vista - I use Music Manager and here's the process I use to add files.
Open Music Manager - Click the 'Add File to Database' button - Find the files I want to add - Music Manager adds them to the Database and then I click the exit button.

I don't use 'Update Database' but all the files are always there. I never have any problems.
