Hi folks

Q for you guys. I saw a Retro Disco/Studio light on a TV show a couple of months ago and am trying to track down where I can get em but no idea what its called or if indeed I have any chance of getting my mitts on a couple. It sits on the floor and is rectangular shaped (kind of like a traffic light shape) It is split in the middle and the top half revolves one way and the bottom the other, each of the bottom and top sections have 3 or 4 coloured bulbs in em. Very 80's top of the pops looking but just what im looking for for Retro 80's nights. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

Sounds like the 'helicopter' effect. I had one that used 16 par 36's in each one with a different gell. Not sure they still make them . Closest I can thnik of with modern lights may be the Cosmos not the same but similar.

having seen the vid--maybe skytec rock balls would give a similar effect --you can get them for £43 on ebay --so they arent going to break the bank

Thanks for the reply's folks. Looking at the Pics the Coemar Comet seems to look the most similar although the one I saw sat on its end and the top and bottom turned opposite ways. Thats a help though, whether I can get hold of any of these is another issue.

Cheers for the suggestions
