Dont use one--not sure apart from Maplins where you will get anything for tonight.

To do the job properly Fabtronic Disco shop Northampton 01604 638100 for a professional solution.

PC World...if they have any in stock. Really gone down in that type of hardware.

The other thing you can look into is the Numark I/O - which I use with my Numark Cue as a mobile dj (http://www.discoinferno.co.nz), and uses ASIO drivers so your system should recognise them.

FYI you should always be using an audio interface / soundcard in order to maximise system stability and sound quality. You should spend as much as you can afford on a device which suits your specific needs.

EDIT: Something like this would be a great start. http://www.guitarampkeyboard.com/en/83864

I use one of THESE. (http://www.westenddj.co.uk/Product/ESI/Computer_DJ/GIGAPORT-AG/GoogleBase/)

I actually paid about £80 for mine brand new off eBay.

Have a search for MAYA44 USB or ESI GIGAPORT

Two USB cards, pretty standard for digital DJ work.

MAYA44 USB (http://www.esi-audio.com/products/maya44usb/)

ESI GIGAPORT (http://www.esi-audio.com/products/gigaporthd/)

How much? Might be interested, cos I might have a use for it. PM me when you've stopped laughing.

(For those who don't know, I sold it to Penmare when my system wouldn;'t accept it.New system, and it's useful again. )

To the OP, I'd guess you've not got the internal sound card selected. I use headohones out for karaoke, works well enough.

Don't even think about starting a "My day's worse than yours "thread. :Naughty: Jeanette and I are doing the year end accounts, you can't see the carpet or desk for paper, and I'm not sure both of us are going to live to see tomorrow, if things don't improve. :( :( :(
