Just sounding out some ideas for myself.

Can I have some idea of what DJ's would charge for a Friday night in March for a Dinner-Dance in a Hotel in the centre of Cambridge, set by 7pm and finishing at 12midnight ?

The DJ would need to be able to provide background music during the meal followed by a variety of music ranging from Waltz's right through the eras including Party Music (no Garage, House, Hip-hop, Club sounds needed).

Good quality sound/lighting, and a good personalility - age range would be 18-80.

If you don't want to post your prices, then please PM me.

At this stage, I am just looking for ideas of price.

Many thanks.

Having worked in Cambridge, I would be quoting around the £200 mark

We've done a few in that area (as you know), and there definitely are 2 markets up there! But we would be looking around £250.

Indeed, I can vouch for that. Last March, for all 31 days, cambs celebrated the fact that it was indeed march. In fact on a number of occasions I was in March during March (and maybe even marching once in a while!)

Have never had a gig in Cambridge, despite the fact that I live there! :omg:
Would be looking at the £250 mark for a hotel though.

Mind you, centrally the hotels are pretty high rent so maybe more - however any opportunity to get into the closed shop that is the Cambridge disco circuit should be priced competitively but not too low so you don't fall below the quality threshold.

Oh, and I grew up in March... confused yet?

Oh Oh

I live in March, not sure if that's a good or bad thing. But I will say March is much better than Slough LOL

I'm in Cambridgeshire and I would suggest a minimum starting figure of £250 for Cambridge.

I would have hopped the prices have increased, radically, in the last seven years.
