How do you rip your music to HD?

Ie Would you rip Now 45, into a folder called Now 45, or would you rip it into a big folder called chart?

:)

Hello there. Not a Digital DJ myself, so can't answer your question, but why not introduce yourself to everyone on the forum and tell us a little bit about yourself in the Newbies section?

When I initially ripped my CDs I put them all in one big group which was a mistake...

When I upgraded to PCDJFX I had to sort them all again which took months.

I now have groups of decades, then subgroups and also genres.

Eg: 70s, then folders within 70s - glam, soul, rock, disco and pop.

I then have things like slowies and then sub catergories for each decade.

For some of the smaller catergories or more specialised I tend to have sub catergories of just the particular artist album within the main group.

try a package called CDEX, it's a CD ripper i highly recomend you can set the program to rip to any directory you choose.

You could also try the free ripper from here http://koyotstar.free.fr/indexEn.html
As this is also superb - I have both this and cdex and prefer this.

Easy CD Creator has a function to rip CD tracks to MP3; Allows you to name them (correctly!) and specify the folder you're saving 'em to on yer HD.
