A full dancefloor all night & even dancing during the buffet (well I say buffet they actually arranged for a mobile chip shop to come for the evening meal) to my little swing / rat pack / soul set.

You know it's all worth while after a gig like this. I wish they could all be this eclectic. Big round of aplause at the end & much thanks from the B&G & their parents. Only problem was I didn't get to sleep 'til 4 & had to be up by 7

Slept from about 9:15 last night 'til 7 this morning

Lucky!

I had a wedding where the Grooms father had died last wedding whilst they were away in the Carribean getting married.

As you can imagine atmosphere was not very good and floor did not fill despite trying all the usuals - but the Bride did come and say thanks at the end of the night and she and her new husband had enjoyed themselves despite everything.

I was discussing this gig with Angela, & he reaction to this song in particular was mentioned. Angela came up with a good point, that you can get the best reactiions by reminding people of a song that they haven't heard for a while & they remamber just how much they like it.
