You could try DJGuard not heard of them send us there website details sometimeWe got some literature from them, and from the logo, I would say that they are MusicGuard (I think they have set up a specialised DJ branch)

We use an independent broker for our insurance: but we are in a very different position. As a comapny employing 'staff', we have to have Employers Liability as well. However, if you want to give them a go to see what they can come up with, I'll gladly give you their details. Send me a PM

Yes, DJGuard are part of Pavillion insurance who also operate musicguard. The difference is that the DJGuard comes with a minimum of £2 milion PLI instad of £1 million with musicguard.

I used to have a musicguard policy, but have just renewed with the DJGuard because it is more appropriate.

I highly recomend them by the way and their prices are very competitive.

Interesting.

I've been with them a few years and didn't know about that!

I like the way these companies contact you to let you know....

I know exactly what you mean, I only found DJ Guard because I typed DJ Insurance into a search engine because I thought I would do a bit of shopping arround to get the best price.

The policy documents look exactly the same except they say DJGuard instead of MusicGuard.

Could we at the MDA push DJGuard & all other insurers to have Insurance and PLI cover upto 10 million max as they only go to 2million and its almost impossible to find any higher without paying through the nose or getting it seperate from the musicians union.. Many quality hotels are expecting 5 million minimum

MuiscGuard, DJGuard and LiabilityGuard - (all Pavillion insurance) - offer upto 5 million PLI.

Excuse me from butting in but Darren dragged me over from the NADJ forum to say hi. :)

Anyway, I have the MU £10 million PLI but they also offer a discount on Musicguard Gear Insurance through their dedicated website http://www.musiciansinsurance.com/home.asp .

The discount is 15% because Musicguard do not have to include PLI.

Seems to be a good deal so may be of use to you.
