Showtec/Highlite ones are pretty good value for money - http://www.highlite.nl/index.php/highlite/silver.econtent/catalog/highlite/entertainment_products/dmt/av_hardware/stands_brackets/(offset)/20

I got one of these a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it - and the price is fantastic! Only problem I have is it's a big thing - but it's bound to be!

I'm also looking at truss now with base plates and Vesa mounts. Wasn't there someone else who uses this on here?

A bit like this (http://cgi.ebay.com/NAD-Plasma-12-Truss-Stand-up-52-LCD-TV-/400104602040), but in this country!

I'm pretty sure thomann sell the big base plates like that, it's just the VESA to truss mount I'm not sure where you'd find...

Here we go, not exactly cheap though! http://www.thomann.de/gb/millenium_baseplate_multi.htm

I'm sure you could buy one, then get an engineering firm to copy it..

How stable is the stand, if say someone bumped into in whilst dancing?

It's as stable as you could hope for a stand of its type to be.
I've only gigged it once so far and it was fine.
I was on a low stage (IBM Hursley) and there were a lot of kids around, but no problems.

There are lots of stands for double, treble and more - but this one does the job.
