SEDA ShowNight and AGM Sunday 21st March 2010

How did this come around so quickly???,

I can’t believe that it’s a year since I took the Chairmanship with SEDA, but it is, and we have a huge ShowNight to celebrate!!!

SEDA ShowNights are Bi-Monthly physical meetings primarily for members but also open to visitors (at no charge), offering the opportunity to see new kit, meet and network with colleagues, suppliers and other related businesses and individuals and also generally discuss our industry.

All are very welcome, so if you've ever wondered what goes on please feel free to come along. Also if you came along a few years ago and weren't too keen, come and see us again, things change.

Here’s the line-up

Exhibitors
Denon - Keeping us up to date with all things Denon
R.N.I.D. – Helping us to protect our hearing
SpeakerPlans – Bringing a different approach to Sound for your System
PCDJ – The first public outing for the much anticipated 00VJ
Deckstand Booth – Featuring the Micro Deckstand Booth
Matrix Amps – Great power at affordable prices
Microphome – You’ve heard about this product – come and see it

Featured Retailer
CRS1 – By my personal request Clive will be featuring the K- Series Speakers along all the other goodies that we have come to expect from our featured retailer

Regular Features

Second-Hand Table
The Essential Selection
SEDAshop
The Famous SEDA Raffle

Other Features
SEDA – AGM
Barney Grossman – Report on Mobile Beat Las Vegas
R.N.I.D. – Cheque Presentation

Please come along if you can, and remember to bring some business cards as the ShowNights are excellent networking opportunities.

Thanks for reading and hope to see you there,

I think that covers most of it.

R.O.A.R.

Unfortunately we do (very rarely) get serial visitors who claim they see no value in joining but would like to attend the ShowNights. We feel that the ShowNights are one of our members favourite benefits and therefore as a general rule would expect someone that wanted to attend on a regular basis to join the association.(As a guide we would not expect a visitor to attend more than 2 ShowNights)

It was nice to see you too and thank you for your business.

Oh and I am sorry again for the rottwieller's rudeness! He isn't very good at tact and diplomacy.....
I admit that I was in the wrong (apparently) as I wasn't allowed to invite people through the door before opening times!

I do hope it hasn't put you off attending SEDA in future as they all are a great bunch of people and 150 members can't really be wrong!

Yep, sure did Darren and unfortunately they are not back in for another few weeks yet, so I'll keep you all posted on their return!

AGAIN!

Especially you Steve, consider yourself the first on the contact list! :D

Anyway we have just finished putting the shop back together ready for opening at 1pm later today and I wanted to get on here quickly and say thank you to everyone who attended and made it such a great night for all of us.

A huge thank you also to the committee as they sure know how to run an event, see you all next meeting as I will be there as a "normal DJ" (if there is such a thing).

Thanks again all, I really do appreciate your custom!

Clive

Honestly Clive, if you can't tell the difference between Steve & I by now, I'd really like to know which one of us you think you kiss 'hello' to when we meet up! :p :p :p

For who ever went, I hear that Tony from the Speakerplans forum took his dual 8" tops and dual 12" subs.

What did you lot think of them?

Brilliant. Lovely sounding cabs.

Yes, for me they were the best sounding of the speakers he demonstrated.

I find that very interesting as they were home made and the cabs were designed by Tony himself if I am not wrong.

Now all I need it someone to buy the same 12" drivers that I got. lol.

Very good speakery.

The subs were about a grand each and sounded great and were easy to carry. They are 30Kg but thin so easy to get hold of.

A lot of money though - I believe the 12" tops were £899 each.

Nice looking and sounding system, but fairly pricey.

£769.00 I've seen them for, might go have a listen then!
