FYI.

We've relaxed the restrictions on avatar and sig sizes for MDD Supporters.

Changes for supporters are as follows...

<--- Avatar size increased to 150x150 pixels from 80x80 pixels. Signature sizes incresed from 500x60 pixels to 500x120 pixels. The allowable lines of text remain the same. In addition, MDD Supporters Private Message (PM) storage has been increased from 100 to 200

And finally, if you're not already a supporter, why on earth not? :) Full details can be found HERE (http://www.forum.mobilediscodirectory.co.uk/showthread.php?t=5104). Thanks, see you in the supporters section. :)

Signatures can no longer be linked to from off site sources anymore. It'll only take you a minute to re-add it; Just save the image from 'imageshack' onto your PC, and upload it onto the forum in your User CP options. :approve:

(That's a hell of an avatar Shaun !! lol)

Same one I've been using for years...only bigger. :d The 'web guru' made it for me a while back.

Can I ask why? :)

By doing so, the maximum allowable image sizes are handled by the forum software, meaning one less thing for us to moderate.

Maybe it's just me, but what is it about Shauns larger avatar?

Since the new rule came in yesterday, a number of people have uploaded larger avatars...so why is Shauns the only one that's doing my head in?

Shaun

Doesn't that sig link to a site?

You can make your signature link to a site (i.e. when you click on it it directs to your website). What you can't do is have a banner uploaded to somewhere other than the forum and use the image tags [IMG] to link to the image offsite.

Clear as mud? :d

Sorry if I didn't make that clearer earlier.

Maybe this will help:

You can't host your signature banner elsewhere, you now need to upload it to the forum.

Your signature banner can link to your site.

Better? :D

Also, if you put the URL coding around the image coding, you can have the banner linking to your site, rather than having the URL separately underneath (meaning that you would only have 1 line of text, and therefore comply with forum rules :D )

Not sure where you read that Max, but I'm afraid that we have absolute discretion, and, judging on the number of members who have mentioned to us that you shouldn't be allowed to post at all on this forum, you should really count yourself lucky.

Now, please don't take this thread off topic again. Thank you.
