Maybe, maybe not, but it was accurate & very funny.

Does phpbb accept GIF banners?

phpBB (http://www.phpbb.com/) does accept GIF images for signatures if the administrator has allowed it, although I am not sure how relevant the question is on a forum powered by vBulletin (http://www.vbulletin.com/)...

Steve (FDDJ),
I thought this was a phpbb forum, aren't they all one group anyway?

We use phpbb code, don't we

No it isn't and no they aren't.

You are confusing the platform the forum runs on (vBulletin which is built using PHP), with a shared post formatting language called BBCode (http://www.bbcode.org/) that many different forums use to allow users to make their posts look pretty.

As far as I know to get this to work, you will need to install AutoMod and find the mod and install it.

I think this is what you want? - http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=863035
