I was doing a bit of commentry and making announcements today at a local school for their sports day.

Obviously for safety reasons I had to well out of the way, so I parked up, got a mains feed from the school and was away!

The only trouble is, I had to make announcements from the running track which is a way from the speakers and I had the horrible situation of hearing what I said about half a second after I said it, which is really off putting and makes you slow your speech right down..

I was just using my small PA kit - pair of Kam INSPRO 10" cabs on stands, Behringer mixer/amp, laptop and UHFSM58.

Was good fun though, even though I had to be there at 8am... :omg:

I was right in the sun...

Yeah, luckily I keep a couple of curtains in the boot of my car in case I ever have to leave anything in there, I can cover it, get it out of site and still be insured...

I am pretty tired actually, and I've got another governing body meeting at the school at 9:30am tomorrow....

Ben came 4th in one race (youngest in his class - bless him!) and won the base race (like an obstacle race, but with a new name!)

It was, but just a tad too hot...

Although this year I did remember to wear a baseball cap, 'cos I burnt my head last year.

Can't think why? :teeth:

My kids school doesn't need to hire a PA either, as I do it for nothing!

I don't think that would have been man enough for quite a large field.

the field that it was to cover was a rugby pitch, Hocky pitch and and football pitch and did ok when you started to get the football pitch it started to become unclear
