I am giving up CDs!

I just checked how many of the 1000 tracks I buy on 50CDs for £600 from Mastermix and DMC I actually play each year! It turns out to be less than 100!!

2 subscriptions expire in July and the last one expires in Feb. I will not be renewing them.

Instead, I will download each track for 99p each in wav format. Mobiledjdownloads has had my custom since Sept... I just wish they had been around earlier. Hopefully Mastermix and DMC will start offering Wav or Lossless files soon or offer a subscription services say 50 wav files a month for £25 on a use them or loose them basis.

I have been spending £2500 on CDs and licences every year since 2005.

As I now have 35,000 wav files from 2,000CDs I think I will only need to buy the 1,000 track annual Produb licence form now on. I will just make sure I have the top 10 for the weekend and buy any other tracks on the night via one of my 2 laptops as they both have 3G connections.

All-in-all this change will save me over £1000 per year as I will be saving £200 by getting a smaller produb licence and by not needing that £400 digital storage upgrade.

Just recently DMC content have been pants - and I don't blame you.
