I'm sure that all members know that advertising commercial ventures with which you are connected is not permitted on the forum – unless you have purchased an advertisers forum.

However, we would also like to remind members that no-one may use the PM system to approach members – even if they have already purchased an advertisers forum!

If any member receives a PM offering the sale of goods/services, please report it to the site staff as soon as possible.

The last thing we want to happen is for this forum to be ruined by what is, effectively, spam; so please do report this if it happens to you (even if it is a long-standing member who approaches you, or you think it may have only been a 'one-off', and so think the particular member should be given the benefit of the doubt).

Thanks for your time.

I just wanted to post up a big :thanks: to those members who have sent us messages about PMs they have received offering items for sale from other members.

If I'm honest, we haven't had any surprises - the members we suspected of this are the ones we have received confirmation about!

We have decided that we will not take retrospective action against these members (but that doesn't mean we won't if it happens again in the future).

Now that you have been reminded about the forum rules, we trust that all PM 'sales pitches' will cease! If you want to advertise your business, then pay for advertising!

All members: Please, please, please do report any such PMs to us asap. :thanks: again. :)

Given a couple of instances of which we have been made aware recently, I think it's about time to give this thread a little 'bump'. :)

Just giving this thread a 'bump'. Any member receiving unsolicited PMs of this nature should tell us so that we can deal with it.

As always, your reports will be treated with the strictest confidence.

We do not want this forum ruined by the silly actions of a few!

Just to add...

The rules regarding unsolicited 'selling' PM's apply to all member usergroups. Members, MDD Supporters, Advertisers....and even staff. No exceptions.
