Nice! Lot like my vestax and the case is the same although i assume this is better as it probably has 4 decks?

Looks like its a similar version of the ADJ one though?
Makes you ask who makes it?

The denon will come in at <£700 I think.

Much prefer the Denon now, I'd better start putting some gig cash away!!

I for one am very excited about the Denon controller. Much as I would love the HID control of Traktor with their new controller, the lack of XLR outputs, no rackmount option, no split cue and non analog mixer put me off. It should be possible to map the Denon exactly how you like it and it looks SERIOUSLY sexy.

I paid a similar price for the vestax.

Native Instruments make it Toby - It's a 4 deck controller for Native Instruments Traktor Pro, which is what a high %age of traktor users have been waiting for for a very long time - plus it's coming with the new updated version of traktor - Serato will be scratching their itch in a desperate attempt to keep up

Except for the fact that Serato and Ableton (The Bridge) with Novations Launch pad knocks the socks of Traktor right now!

ah thats OK then :) i prefer the look of the Denon. Having said that i never thought i would by anything by Vestax but i have. Cant fault it other than the rubbish mic latency.

I would like to have four decks and some effect so these products fit the bill.

My mate keeps going on about ableton and some akai thing?

this looks good though. Looks like a midi keyboard type thing to me?

Thats the launchpad toby.

maybe your mate is on about the APC40 --> http://www.ableton.com/apc40

The APC40 is perfect with The Bridge

But do they? I thought they just produced software? Its just that loads of DJ products are all made byt the same people and rebranded to suit. Lighting being the biggest contender. I would rather go with Denon?

that looks really complicated and i do not get how it works?
Is this any use for the average wedding? I do want to get into live sets when i do my band thing so this could be interesting.

does it work with Itch? I have had scratch live and i far prefer itch. Mainly as the track never runs out and you do not have to keep resetting it every 15 mins. :)

Youve completely missed the point of it Toby. ;)

The timecode runs out after 15 minutes. This brings midi to its fullest capability, which is like running serato on INT (Internal mode), so no timeout, or anything.

Basically it imports Ableton into Serato and created a 2 way system.

Nothing is new there then ;)

I really need to have a go on appleton and see what its all about.
It looks complicated but im sure its pretty easy to get used to.

There are lots of people using it :)

I've tried Ableton, couldn't get on with it at all, for me it's not DJing, more like producing live - you can sync it with Traktor or Serato - Serato is still traktors poor cousin though, and no doubt dedicated Serato users would say visa versa, as always it's a matter of opinion even though Traktor tends to take most of the awards.

Nice bit of kit.

I was looking at the American DJ VMS4 and that looks good as well - I love the ability to assign midi keys. And a mouse pad built in!!! And it's at a resonable price.

Seems like all the controllers are going this way.
