Good buy!

The AC adaptor on one of my externals went the other day, so bloomin' annoying!! What's so hard about supplying transformers that work for at least a few years these days?!

Another Bargain, IMO:-

Hitachi Simple Drive 1TB Desktop Hard Drive (http://www.ebuyer.com/product/179773)

£44.99 - but with promo code WINDYSAVER entered at checkout, it's only £39.99.

Only downside, to qualify for free supersaver delivery, you need to make the order up to £50, but they sell everything from mice and keyboards, to ink, paper, batteries and blank media (as well as the bigger stuff) so if you just add on a couple of little extras, it's easy to qualify.

I ordered one yesterday too, but didn't post it up because they sold out within about 3 hours.

Checked again today and they appear to have another 100 in, so decided to share. :)

Shame, the discount code is in the email, right under the big picture of the Hard Drive!

I have being trying to find the specs on the hard drive like the access time and RPM..

If to long on access time or to slow on RPM they are only great for backup, not for dj'ing.

It's 7200 rpm, with an interface transfer rate of 480 Mbps. All reviews on the net that I've seen describe it as 'pretty fast'.

The Access time should be quite reasonable along with buffer memory; which make all the difference when DJ'ing; especially when searching or loading tracks very last minute (usually because I change my mind)
