It is a good player but it hasn't got anti-shock unfortunately. However, its bigger brother in the Numark CD-Mix 2 has. They are both vertually identical in the way that they opperate.

I've got a Numark CD Mix 2 in my room and i must say that it is a good mixer, and very easy to use.

I'll give you a link so you can have a detailed look at the CD-Mix 2.

Numark CD-Mix 2 (http://www.djkit.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Numark_CD_Mix_2_Packages.html)

And Numark wouldn't be Numark without bringing out another successor! As a result, they have brought out the Numark CD-Mix 3, which is vertually identical to the two other players in the CD-mix range..but has an MP3 function added. i'll give you the link for this also.

Numark CD-Mix 3 (http://www.djkit.co.uk/acatalog/copy_of_Numark_CD_Mix_3_Packages.html)

Good Luck :)

I bought a cd mix1 last week, tested it out at a friends birthday bash at the weekend and no problems at all, was a great bit of equipment.....

It's always a concern of mine to use an integrated system like this, as big problems arise if any of the 3 main components (in this case) fail

yeah its not bad...not a great fan of Numark though....
I much prefer KAM, i have the KAM Audio Pro 1500, which allows me to do disco & karaoke

This is ideal as a backup, i keep one in one of the cases. It covers both mixer and cd failure. I should say my 3rd backup, as pc,s are 1 and 2 backup. But if i get a mixer failure, this works fine.

i'd be lost without my laptop, although i do make sure i have a box of must have cd's as backup

How could anyone ever choose Kam over Numark?

Is it just me that thinks Kam products feel cheap & tacky? :omg:

i think if you look after your equipment really well then it doesn't matter if you by soundlab or technics.
i had a twin cd unit by soundlab which i looked after very well, it wasn't until someone else got their hands on it that it started playing up!!!! :teeth:

Yeah i agree, look after your equipment and it will look after you, however some things tend to go before others, doesn't matter if you look after them brilliantly or not...equipment has a shelf life and eventiually goes...
