I've taken the plunge to upgrade from a Numark CM200USB to a Denon DN-X500 :party1:

As I'll now need a decent external soundcard is the shortlist still Maya 44 or Gigaport or are there new kids on the block?

TIA

I have a Numark DJ IO. It's not the class of the field, but value for money it's hard to beat. The Maya and Gigaport take some beating quality wise, I suspect. Other contenders carry a very hefty price tag, I seem to remember.

From what I found the maya and gigaport are pretty old now and drivers for windows 7 at the time of looking for a new soundcard had major issues.

I use the Herclules Trim 4 & 6 which is superb. After having 2 Native Instruments Audio 8 soundcards which cost twice the price (which blew up). The build quality is fantastic, solid metal case and sound quality is every bit as good as the audio8.

Native Instruments Audio DJ 2,4 OR 8. The best pound for pound audio interface available for the DJ Market, I think there having a big clear out sale as well. Even Better

I use the DJIO too, and though I have nothing to compare it to, it has been excellent so far.

maya and gigaport depending on how many input/output ports you require - just works - no problems
