Reading the sun today and its 25 years to the day when MTV first showed Video killed the radio star which was very true but it seems now that The Internet is killing the video star with the likes of You tube

Do you think that this could bring new musicans to the forfront without the need of BMG, Sony or any of the other big record labels, our current one has to be sandi thom whom with the help of the internet has smashed the theory of the need for talent scouts like in the days of old

or the need for talent itself lol what a pile of crap that song is!

yeah i think the internet will play a really big part in the future of music as music is probably the second biggest thing on the internet after sex.
if you create a great song and put it on the internet and people like it and companies could easily hear it while browsing and buy the song from you, it would be more accessable to alot more people. :)

Reading the sun today and its 25 years to the day when MTV first showed Video killed the radio star Either the Sun got it wrong or most of yesterday's TV (Richard & Judy etc)did, coz they were all banging on about it then.
which was very true but it seems now that The Internet is killing the video star with the likes of You tube

didn't she buy thousands of her own records so she would get to number one cos you only need to sell 20,000 copies lol :teeth:

Thing is, it still sounds a good tune even today. But isnt it great, that something like the internet can change so many things in life.
Time moves on, we are but a wink of an eye in the big picture

Using the internet is just like going round well known pubs where aspiring musicians play to det noticed. In the end The Artic Monkeys, Sandi Thom, Lily Allen, Gnarls Barclay or whoever still need that final big business injection of publicity and marketing to cross over to the big time.
