I had a call yesterday to tell me that Maggie Parsons died suddenly on Monday. Maggie ran her mobile disco in and around Bolton with her husband Bill from the 70's onwards. They were both very active in the North West DJ Association. Bill was a lovely man but sadly he died and Maggie continued to run the disco by herself. She was not only very influential in NWDJA but also a big supporter of the DJF and Disco Aid. If ever there was an exhibition or meeting somewhere in the country you could almost bet that this passionate and level headed lady would be there. She was a lovely lady and contributed much to the disco world. I am proud to have known her.
