I have noticed more and more of these things popping up all over the place, there a right pain in the arse, get tangled in them, the go around your neck and over yer shoulder and make a right mess of your hair!

Are they a new legal thing for kitchens now?

At the place where i work on a part time basis, we don't have these in place so i am unsure if they are now a legal requirement in kitchens, but i agree, they are a pair in the backside, just like sound limiters..but thats another story

Oopps! - forgot about that!!

OK:-

**************************************************

RED RICE

Heat 15ml (1tbsp) sesame oil in a large saucepan. Stir in 225g (8oz) long-grain rice then pour in 750ml (1 1/4 pt) hot chicken stock, 60ml (4tbsp) tomato ketchup and 15ml (1tbsp) sugar. Simmer until tender, stirring occasionally, then add 75g (3oz) of frozen petit pois / peas and 3 chopped salad onions. Cook for 5 minutes or until the petits pois are tender.

Tip: The idea is that everything will be cooked by the time all the liquid is evaporated. However, I have always found that the liquid evaporates before the rice is cooked, so have some extra stock ready to top up the pan as and when needed.

What's for tea tonight? :teeth:
