Pretty good deal, however, concider the following:-

1. They are only rated at 150w RMS
2. They use a tweeter, not a compression driver
3. They have jack connectors, these should be changed to speakons

i suppose they also had some new wharfedale b grade vs 12 for 80 quid are these any better

I would probrably go for the Wharfedales, based on the fact that i don't like Peavey :)

Performace wise, they are probrably pretty simular.

If you have the oppurtunity, go and listen to both products to help you decide.

the wharfdale are only rated at 125 rms and 500 hundred peek so does this meen the peavey will be 600 watt peak

Peak output is irrelevant. The output power in RMS and efficiency in DB will tell you how well a speaker will perform.
