Just rang a woman re her Wedding on a mid-week night at a Social Club finishing at 11.30pm prompt. She said all her quotes were too expensive so I asked how much she had been quoted but she wouldn’t tell me. I ended up quoting her £275. I said as it was an off-night and finishing at 11.30 I would do that for her. She said all her other quotes were under £100.

I had a chat to her and asked if she had ever seen any of the people that had quoted her £100 or less or had she had any feed-back off friends or relatives that had seen them in action. I also asked if she knew if they had PLI or PAT. She just said that she got their numbers out of the phone book and off the net.

The Woman told me that her partner wants Led Zeppelin, Happy Mondays, FYC, Robert Palmer, Deaf Leopard and so on and she wants Old School and charts and lots of 60s and 70s for the older folk, also some Northern for her Dad who is an old Casino goer.

I found it very difficult not to tell this woman to get into the real world, I managed to keep it objective without slagging anyone off, I told her to look on the site and chat to her partner and ring me if she wanted to discuss it further and she’s just rang me back to book it.

I try and keep what I say positive and what they get if they book me rather than negatives about cheaper suppliers.

I'm surprised she says all her quotes are too high and under £100. You really think she will pay nearly three times that?

Edit: Sorry misread the post on first read. Well done

Well done. No easy task trying to increase to a decent rate when she has already had such stupid low quotes. To get her to up by £175 is excellent work.
Will be an interesting playlist by the looks of it though.

Well done Andy. Great selection of music requests, I take it they will not be into R'n'B so much with classics like those mentioned.

Will be an interesting playlist by the looks of it though.

looking at what the customer has requested just sounds like an ordinary booking for me - a nice mix that keeps everyone happy and as a dj is good cause you not playing the same genere all nite long - will be a good booking

You left out the part where you were twisting her arm up around her back..............But well done , I'm sure she isn't aware how lucky she was when opting for sopmeone that knows what they're doing.
