I ran a warrior 1000 for about four years, before I went "active" I still have it as a back-up and use it for PA hire- it is a solid well built piece of kit and has paid for itself many times over.

I knew you used them, I just assumed you used passive cabs.

Just think, you could save up another few quid and get some Mackies.... :teeth: :teeth: :teeth:

It went off onthe first page with only one relevant answer, there appears to be two now (one on each page).

I was refering to this, we had one on topic answer after it & then whoosh off we go again.

I know I can be guilty of taking things off topic myself & didn't deny it. Ner! :teeth:

I "worked" on a DJs sound system for an hour to front up a Wedding last week and he told me the amp was a Warrior--sounded pretty good overall.

Speakers were KAM , dont know about the mixer.

He actually runs a DJ shop so if he is using Warrior guess he must rate them.

I am reluctant to admit we do own one warrior amp and it has always been a faithful standby. We have now spent one or two pounds upgrading the rigs to Mackie Active 450/1501 rigs for wedding bashing.

The bigger stuff we are playing with PD drivers ATM and its sounding great with Lab Gruppen taking the strain. (Still working on the mid range as its not sounding quite right, think it’s the cabs)

This isn't really your views on the Warrior amp though is it Scoob

If you're looking for a good mid driver scoob, look at the SN range from P Audio.

Anyway, back on topic! :D

No hands-on experience of Warrior amplifiers, other than PAT testing a few from time to time.

My only observation is they are very cheap (the new ones I've seen advertised seem to range from £70 for the small ones to £300 for the larger outputs)

OK, cheap doesn't necessarily mean crap, and it appears the disco shop owner referred to earlier in the thread matched them well to cabs at the same level.

Would I trust a rack of them on FOH? No.

Would I use one for monitor duties? Yes, in an emergency.

I don't get that - no hands on experience - so how can you comment?

Quite easily, I commented based on having seen a few of these amps whilst PAT testing.

They are your average budget amplifier, which is what I have indicated.

Everything has it's place in the foodchain, and IMHO these are OK for small parties or mons.

Hope this clarifies.
