I came across this one the VDJ website and thought it was worth posting here.

This is for users with audio issues using a USB 2.0 soundcard. Microsoft has released a new driver for the usb 2.0 that specifically targets audio playback latency and dropout issues.

You may not, but it will be included in the next windows update as well.

Just thought I'd post the link in case anyone was having problems.

I'm getting frequent yellow spikes on DPC Latency checker and can't for the life of me detect the source, I'm on XP though. This is a nice little find for Windows 7 & Vista users.

If it is a Dell laptop, it will most likely be your ACPI battery manager which you can dissable in device manager. If you have an NVIDIA graphics chipset, it might also be that. There are some good posts about how to fix that issue on the Native Instruments product forum.

I had loads of DPC latency spike issues with my Audio 4 soundcard but none with my MC6000, very strange..

It's an Inpiron 1525, I disabled the ACPI, even went as far as seeing if removing the battery would stop it. I've been tearing my hair out trying to find the source (I know I know :p )

I didn't notice you wearing a wig at the meetup.. :)

You could try the following:

NVIDIA fix

Tweaks to windows

Although both talk about the Native Instruments cards, it is a problem that affects other types of soundcards and many different types of laptop. I am quietly confident that your issues (laptop ones anyway) can be resolved by trying some or all of these fixes.
