I've always thought that when using Traktor the sound quality is superior to using VDJ?

I'm sitting here now comparing the 2 and I still believe this.....

Does anyone else feel the same or can anyone explain this?

No difference here. I would check your settings in VDJ

have you tried Turning the EQ's up and comparing the difference?

Ensure you're doing a like-for-like test;
-Using AISO on both
-Flat EQ on both
-Same Track

Try with a WAV file (if you're normally using MP3). This is far less intensive to decode, and the path from file to audio-out is less complicated.

I'm not sure what MP3 decoder VDJ uses (I think its LAME which should be very good), but there could be differences here. The use of the Gain value (ie replaygain etc) could also come into effect.

Sounds like a few things to get on with!

In traktor you also get the option of changing the sampling bit rate of the soundcard, you need to make sure this is set the same in VDJ or you will hear a huge difference.

Personally with my setup I cant hear any noticeable difference.
