Hello!

1) http://www.djanddiscostuff.com/prodpage.asp?prodid=1947

Anyone know of a similar lighting effect (dosent have to be lasers) that is small and alot cheaper? To be mounted on a flat surface, so has to be fairly sturdy.

Just to bring in light from the side on our roadshow.

I was thinking those 4 flashing traffic lights at one point! :omg:

2) I'm looking for a wireless mic - Can anyone recommend any?
VHF UHF? Whats the difference?

3) Also, thats the name of that dance tune "You look fantastic, you look symatric (sp?)".

Best Regards :)

we have a lot of lasers available if thats the kind of thing you're looking for :) send me a pm and let me know what you wanna spend (roughly) and ill see what i can do.

as far as mics go, vhf is the cheaper of the two. the main advantages of UHF are better signal quality, better range and less interference. more frequencies are available, so obviously thats an advantage. again, send me a pm and i'll work something out if you like

not sure on the song... i thought it could have been artful dodger feat etc etc etc - woman trouble, but i dont think it is.

As for lights, have a look around www.prolight.co.uk

and for the wireless mic, these little jobbies seem to be quite god for their money:

I would never compromise on mics.

If you can't afford to be spending a couple of hundred quid for a radio mic to DJ with, then buy a decent leaded one.

Having said that, the KAM rack mountable mics aren't too bad for quality.

I use a UHF Shure SM58 which is much much better than the VHF one I had previously.

No signal loss and no horrible noises either.

The Sennheiser 100 series are fantastic, built like a tank.

If your after a cabled mic the sennheiser evolution range is excellent.

Daz, ignoring background noises and requests for a taxi :teeth:

Is the "sound quality" of the UHF Shure better than the VHF?

Im asking cos I want to get a Headset style Radio Mike fairly soon--
which I assume is available in this model

cheers

Hard to tell Alan, 'cos the VHF mic was quite old when I got the new UHF one.

Do you think the quality of a Shure Radio Mike deteriorates with age Daz?

Unlike DJs of course where the reverse applies!!! :teeth:

I don't know about age, but you can drop and dent a 58 many many times, and all the only thing you notice is its aesthetics. :)

The JTS range of radio mics are great - Mr Crazy also has one (or al least I assume he still has one). All UHF and I love mine!

I'm not sure whether they deteriorate or whether the technology has got better really - it's hard to tell.
