i wondered what all the fuss was about after years of using the PC and got curious - it really is a very pleasing experience using the mac operating system.
Three year old imac with Tiger, then Leopard added over it, then Snow Leopard added over it. never re-built, never defragged it.
250 applications added and still got 100gb free out of 320gb.
Still runs fast.
I still have to fix and use PCs during the week - and I find them frustrating to use now.

Dont get the rubbish you showed me. Get a new macbook pro or standard unibody as the other ones will date quickly :)

I must admit I've always been a spectic, but some of my collegaes use the big Macs (I don't know which ones.... but massive screen and the computer is built-in). They look a great bit of kit.
Sadly, they've ruined it by running Windows... but the hardware looks great.

On Linux here (apart from XP for occasional Virtual DJ), so also enjoy very high uptime and a very flexible system.

Good result for free thou!

10.4? That's Tiger.

That's two full releases behind.

In the Microsoft world, that'd be akin to running Windows 2000.

Suggest you invest in an upgrade to Snow Leopard (10.6) if you expect semi-modern software to work fully ;)

i use Powertunes (http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/powertunes/) to move iTunes around from iMac to MacBook - very useful
