just wondering how people get such good photos of their rigs in action. Everytime i try to take photos of the lights working i either get nothing from them or just motion blur.

I've just bought a Samsung GX L1 DSLR and I'm still trying to figure out how to use it properly, lol

but some pointers would be appreciated folks, cheers

short exposure, high sensitivity :) if you have a look through the manual, it will give you all the details you need to do it.

Try mounting the camera on a table to keep it still.

set the camera on shutter priority and the sensitivity (iso) on one of the highest then try it. on shutter priority it will set the aperature itself

well, there is a shortage of "rig porn" on this forum, so if there's no phat racks and sexy stacks to oggle, then I'm afraid it'll have to be short skirts :teeth: :omg: :teeth:

You may want to amend a few of your posts Tony, when I tell you that was a 16th birthday party.... :omg:

As i said, try using a table or flightcase to mount the camera while taking pics. See the difference....

naw use it for when i'm shooting video for weddings and the such, comes in well handy when there is no room for a tripod, and when most of the weddings i do are catholic its very hard to hold a video camera (broadcast quality) for 1hr to 1.5hrs lol
