Does anyone have experience with the Acme DMX Master .. is it worth buying? Or is it a bit rubbish? etc.

Cheers
Sam

Hi Sam,

1st of all, I must reply to your PM! Remind me

2nd This is based around a lighting desk that many companies have bought the design for and then branded it as their own (It's identical to the Chauvet DMX-50) - Of which I highly recommend.

It's a good little desk, with lots of flexibility for a DJ. I don't know about the acme instructions, but the Chauvet ones are excellent, simple and allow you to do powerful things very quickly. If the Acme instructions are a bit sucky, download the DMX-50 PDF ;)

Hi Will,
Just looking at the controller you mentioned.. it looks identical to the master.. do you know if it is? (if so the manual like you said will be v useful)

Yes, it's identical as is various other models, have a look at the terralec website, where they sell another un-branded version of it...it might be cheaper for the same thing!

Thanks to the advise of Mr DMX - I too am going to get that one (version of it - the Acme one).

How much have you seen it for?

Cheapest I've found is £109.

Woo im happy.
It is in very good nick and works perfectly.
The onbly thing i would say is the fan is quite noisy but i am not sure because have not got a clue how it compares with other moving heads.. and also it wont notice with all the music.

ilead and dmx masters are different in the way that the master has sliders.. and in my view sliders is better and ilead is too restricting.
But on whether i think its good or not then yes i do.. there are some restrictions but so far so good.. still learning how to program chases etc though :)
