There's no reserve and only 3 hours to go, it is second hand but still at a good very price. :)
But do you think it still works?... I mean.. surely if he bought it for 1500 he would want more?!

He probably was looking more but that's Ebay for you.
Sometimes you can get a bad price  or like the time I sold my 2nd hand digital slr camera - I got £50 more than what i paid for it :)

Sorry but I would never buy equipment over the net unless it came from within a 30 mile radius from home. Why? because it's my living and if anything should go wrong I need to be able to take the kit back to where I got it and get it sorted then or get a replacemnt.
The only thing, work related I've ever bought on the net are bulbs.
oh well, i won it for 205..
Not bad :-)

In the questions at the bottom of the listing, it says he has another one, but the gobo wheel isn't working.
Why not make him an offer to buy it cheaply and get it repaired?
Thanks guys.
He assures me he self tested it and it worked fine.. i will have to wait and see:-)
Darren, I like the idea.. but do you know how much it would be to repair it and where i can get it repaired and how much it is worth offering for thebroken one.... seeing as i payed 205 for the actual one. (altogether it comes to 225 with postage) so maybe offer him 300 and if he says no then who cares?
Your views are appreciated

depends how it isn't working- if it just isn't moving then you could poss still use it and just have it changing colour (assuming they have sep gobo wheels).
Best to see how much he wants (given you got the other one for just over £200 anywhere up to £100 seems like a decent price).
Then get some more info and try your local disco shop.
Ask some questions and see what answers you get,

Thanks.. I will offer him a further 75 me thinks.. lol
this is the light http://www.pr-lighting.com/eng/pilot250.html if anyone is interested

looking at the spec it has rotating and fixed gobos- poss on diff wheel which might mean that one works and one doesn't.
Yhe he says 'one of the gobo wheels' so not sure..
With a beats like this not sure if i need another one to be honest (it is 62 cm high!)
In fact i will pay for the one. I wont want a light that doesnt work fully.. those sort of things frustrate me!
So i will just wait and see if it comes on ebay again.

Good lighting effect. One of the venues I have regularly worked in has 4 of these. Pretty good effect and nice and bright. Don't think they paid anywhere near £1500 for them each tho - think it was more like £600 from Images. Not listed on their website tho...
:-)
I have sent a message now .. asking how much for the second one..
All gobos are interchangable etc.. so im sure i could fix it.. picks up mallet.

Just in case you want to see your new light in action - here's a few photos...
ok guys.. how much do you think a pilot 250 (bearing in mind i got the working one for 205..) is worth..
this is what they said about it

I would also like to point out that he doesnt seem to have much knowledge and doesnt have a controller so he tested these lights on self test mode.. so it may not even be as big a problem as he thought.
He offered it for 100.. trying to get him down a bit.. but if he doesnt sell it for cheaper i will probs get it for 100..
What do you guys think? Any idea on what is wrong with it? Im hoping i can fix it myself..

Until you see it, I don't think you can really second-guess what's wrong with it.

You got the working one for £205. If it's just the gobo wheel that isn't working on the second unit - i'd guess it would take less than £105 to fix it so £100 is still a good deal.
It's all guesses and assumptions tho - risk in case there's more wrong with it. I'd take the gamble tho..
yeh i think i will.. thanks:-)
Waiting to hear back from them now..

These guys seem to be big suppliers of PR Products in the UK. Drop them an email to see if they do repairs and ask what they think the problem could be and how much it might cost to fix.

miltec are the uk importer of pr gear.So they should be able to help.It may need a new wiring loom stepper motor etc.I used to be dealer for them
cheers mate.
Will have to wait and see.
Also.. i have been reading that these lights are ok outside (on other forums etc) when under gazebo, not raining and fairly dry.. would be used for things like projecting onto building walls etc
