Hi I am looking to purchase one of these and have looked at the limited reviews and videos that I can find on the web.

They seem pretty neat, but I was wondering if anyone had any experience of them - it is for kids parties, so unlikely to be used with a fog machine, more for the patterns on the floor/ walls.

Hi,

These lasers are great and something very different... hence they are currently quite popular! We have a video on our website here and plenty in stock... http://www.gear4djs.co.uk/product/Gobolaser_550RB_Gobo_Laser_G05053

Let me know if you have any specific questions on the unit and we will be happy to help :)

Thanks Gear4DJs - I do like the look of them.

I can't really tell from the videos wha the coverage is like?

Very good as with most cluster effects. As always the more distance between the laser and the surface the better but this one even works well with only a few metres.

All have a look at the laser uk gallery and equinox atria (I have a couple of these for sale)

All good gobo cluster units

What we've got is the Equinox Geometrix Reloaded (http://prolight.co.uk/PRO/item.php?id=509355&PHPSESSID=a6169e546d179880b273ec697e851210) - and love it!

That does look pretty cool - just the sort of thing I am looking for - Thanks

Are these worked with a remote control? If not how easy are they to operate? I want a good blue laser that can be used with or without smoke, I have shortlisted the two mentioned in this post along with Quasar sapphire twinke

I don't think any of these have remotes, I know some of the Kam ones come with remotes particularly some of the ilinks.

Finally bit the bullet and went for the KAM GoboLaser.

Thanks for all the advic, but after looking at all of the reviews, videos etc, I think this one is the best for me.

Thanks to Gear4DJ's for sorting me out.

Now onto my next purchase - 2 x ADJ inno roll or inno scan :daft:

Oh and I had a quick play with it yesterday - nice bit of kit with some nice crisp gobo effects.

I'm looking into getting one of these but have just checked out the videos of the Equinox Geometrix Reloaded.

Does anyone know what the difference between them are?

They're priced pretty much the same and from the videos I can see, the gobos are nearly identical.

Any help?

Not seen the Kam one in the flesh (I don't think), but we've got the Geometrix Reloaded and I absolutely love it. Prolight demo'd it at BPM before last (2011) before they were in the shops, and we put in a pre-order for one with Clive at CRS1 the same day so that we would have one as soon as they came out. It's been used VERY regularly since then.

The Geometrix Reloaded has a huge coverage area (we point it at the ceiling) and, whilst it's difficult to say categorically from the video, I'd say it has a larger coverage area and would appear to be a little less manic than the Kam one. The patterns do look similar, but I prefer the Equinox from what I've seen (but then I am biased!!!)

Hopefully someone will be along who has experience of both to give you a true comparison!
