Zach, does this mean that pins 2 and 8 are futile then?

Or it could well be wired like this take a look at the table in this webpage:

There are many ways to wire bulgin! There are two ways on here iam sure on that link on my previous post standard 2 in the table is the right one. :embarasse

well it how i wired mine! and runs perfect, i suppose you can swap the channels around to make the bulbs flash in a different sequence!

But surely the you'd want the sequence to be determined by the controller?

well if you have basic controller and don't have a setting where you can change the sequence so you can just change the sequcence by switching a few wires :teeth:

Ahh, yeah I see what you mean now. (But might be more practical to buy a better controller in such circumstances :D)

LOL. If don't know what you are doing i would go for a controller that does support sequence changing :teeth:

I have never come across Bulgin's wired like that. Usually 2,3,4 and 5 are live, 7 & 8 are linked as Neutral, 1 is Earth and 6 is unused.

Agree with you, Sir. Mine are listed like that on controller body, I always assumed that was the standard format

ok will give it a go in the next few weeks time permitting. i will use the first diagram as its simpler for a thicko like me to understand :)

anyone any idea how the wireing is under the roses ????

im gonna be using some old/new bulgin cables or same cable bits ive obtained....

all my light boxes seem to have used single strands of bell wire or similar :(
