Hi All,

Can anyone please recommend a dual wireless mic system which includes one Hand Held mic and one Lapel (not headset) mic system please?

Kind regards,

Ian.

I'm interested in this too.....my wireless mics aren't the best quality and need a decent set for a couple of weeks time for wedding speeches so any recommendations more than welcome

<edit>
I'm currently using a Pyle Pro dual wireless mic system....and there's a lot of hiss on it plus one of the aerials has snapped off the back of the receiver :(

AKG WMS40mini. Great mics at an excellent price. Only disadvantage would be the bit of handling noise you get on the handheld.

Sorry WMS40 Mini 2

Although I've never owned them myself, I did once use this:

linky (http://www.handheldaudio.co.uk/Shure-BLX1288-radio-system-PG185/dp/B00H9K8BD2)

It was good enough for what I wanted (it was a presentation night for a corporate client). It's quite expensive but it is Shure and I'm "sure" (see what I did there?? :D ) that you'll get some good use out of it!

In fact, thinking about it, I've used systems before where you have a receiver and then dual belt pack transmitters that you can connect to handheld, lavalier, or headset mics so they are very versatile.

I think Thomann do some under the T.Bone brand that seem to get good reviews.

Cheers, looks like a good combination ..... And that's not just 'The Blues Bros' element :beer1:

Looks like it's onto the 'price comparison' websites now :p

Oh and 9/10 for your play on words :zip:

I'm using the AKG perception series (http://www.akg.com/Perception+Wireless-840.html?pid=1397) (one handheld and one beltpack with a headset) and I can echo the comments that have been made already. I think the Perception series are supposed to be one range up from the Mini, but they look almost identical. I've found them to be good reliable Mic's with a nice sound and an enviable battery life, but the handheld Mic does suffer quite badly from handling noise if you get a nervous Mic user with a poor grip.

OK - I've taken the plunge and gone for the mini.

I've got a guest singing to a backing track next weekend so will report back on how it went with the new mics.

They're a good sounding mice for the price. Just the bit of handling noise I mentioned can get a bit annoying sometimes.

How much did that cost you if you don't mind me asking. Presume you have the dual unit?

Nope, two separates - principally because the retailer I went to had the two singles in stock. From memory I paid about £360 for the pair. The two I've got are the Wireless vocal set (http://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/AKG-Perception-Wireless-Vocal-Set-ISM/GWP) and the wireless sport set (http://www.gear4music.com/PA-DJ-and-Lighting/AKG-Perception-Wireless-Sport-Set-ISM/G73). The Transtec/Sennheiser UHF handset I had previously works with the receivers so this lot gives me the option of having 2 handheld mic's and a belt pack that can either be used for instruments or for kids parties.

Hope this helps?

Julian

Yes, that's great thank you. Was just curious.
