Facade Lighting

I have purchased a DJ Facade and am after advice on what kind of Lighting to use for it.

I'm planning on putting a DMX'd LED PAR behind mine, but I'm toying with the idea of trying RGB LED strips if I can find a way to make them robust enough. If you've enough space behind the facade you can use any beam/dot effect like a jelly dome.. I've also considered getting an H2O style effect for the same use, but they're a bit limiting for the money they cost. A laser might have a short enough throw to spread out across the whole of the facade, but keeping the beams within the bounds of it might be tricky.
