to be honest i dont think they would be quite man enough exept bedroom monitors and plus if you did pa work with these they would have to be on full all the time which would probably cause a lot of feedback:)

In all honesty Callum, my hi-fi has more powerful speakers than them. Unless you just want them for home use, or booth monitors, I wouldn't touch them

If you want something for small PA work then buy a Yamaha PAS300 - I've got two and Corabar have one and also Ian Limelight will vouch for the sound quality.

It might help if the link actually told you anything about them.

What sort of PA work do you have in mind?

Those IMG Stageline cabs aren't too bad for the money. Had an active one to use as a monitor once.

Callum,

You can pick up a pair of these for around £150 - http://www.lifeismusic.co.uk/PA/Wharfedale-SVP-15-200W-Speaker-454.aspx

Some nice budget speakers here:

Wasn't someone selling sets of brand new small powered speakers cheap somewhere a few months ago? They seemed a good buy - I need to look at investing in something small and standmounted for some of the wedding work I have next year - rather than carting the M-Flex down the hall and setting them up next to the top table, I thought a nice neat small pair as an extra would be good - not a lot to spend so maybe around £100 and loud enough for speaches - powered or not...

If you go get a small pair of speakers, then you will also have to get a mixer and amp, making the neat spekaers not seem so neat anymore - that's the advantage of active or the Yamaha PAS300 which has a powered mixer which can sit on the back of one of the cabs.
