Folks,

I am starting a fresh post for this question!

I have 2 dynatwins (1 at each end of my stand). I would like another light for the centre of my stand, but ideally one that I can control from the DJ stand/table rather than having to switch the light on and off from the mains or the light itself.

Is it possible to get a DMX light for circa £50 that will compliment my Dynatwins?

Possibly, but then you'd need a DMX controller.

£50 is pushing it a bit for a DMXable light, but have a look on Ebay and you might get lucky.

£50 for a dmx light is a bit cheap to be honest, I would wonder about the quality of any DMX item that comes in under £50 unless it was for a cable. How about trying DFB the yhave some ols source stuff clearing out they might be able to help. Or failing that get something like a mushroom, mini linedancer or similar, they fill up a room and look very good (like lots of lasers in smoke) they are sound activated but quite inteligent looking.

Or maybe as Daz said try ebay you may be lucky, i asume you already have a dmx controller, because if not you will require one and I dont think you can get one sub £50. Cept maybe a ca8 or similar.

You won't get much more than a LED Par for £50, double your budget, and the choice is much much greater.

Well on the topic of ebay..
I got a Pilot 250.. for £85 including postage.. because 'it didnt work well' - with a bit of care and oiling.. works perfectly.. so now I have two pilot 250s - worth apparently about 1600 each.. and i got them for 310 :)

either I'm looking in the wrong place or it's just impossible to get a DMX light (which I can hook into my Dynatwins and CA-8) for £50! How about £60?!!!!

you will struggle to get a dmx light unit for that price either look on ebay for something that needs a bit of work that you can do easily or you need to increase your budget slightly .... datamoons are good dmx able effects but cheapest ive seen them is 99 quid?

Ultimates are £60 or less.
You can't use a CA-8 with them though.
You'll either have to run them sound to light, or get a DMX desk.

What are they, these Ultimates?

Had a Google and can't find anything.

Got a link?

I have a pair of eurotech Ultimate UG moonflowers. They're DMX with seperate colour and gobo wheels. Really good quality, 250w. Only problem is, they're really designed for clubs as they don't work master/slave. I program them with the little soundLAB desk and they look awesome so don't really need the master/slave anyway. Might be a problem though if you don't have the time to program stuff. I got them for £100 second hand.

They look very good for the money - got any pictures of them in action?
