S'alright. Had those in the 8" (less wattage), well I still do, one seems to have broken recently not sure how or what, we never use them so it's not a big loss.

Very loud for what they are, sound quality is, well ok. The price with the amp is also excellent there, so you can't really complain. Although why not use what you use for bigger rigs, or just part of it?

Are you a bedroom DJ just venturing out? If so, I advise you go for something bigger, you don't want to be 6 months down the line not being able to take larger bookings because you didn't spend that extra £100 or whatever 6 months previously.

For any amount of bass, you will need subs with those anywho, not the best for the low end.

Hope this helps.

No im not a bedroom dj we have most set-ups out everyweek so its hard to use the other speakers as they are out so i am looking to spend £200 on a good pair for my small set-up to use with my 2 100watt speakers.

For those of you who don't want to go via Colin's site Here's the same link (http://www.opera-live.com/e/index.html) that he has there.

Reading the OP, Ross clearly stated he's after spending around £200.

The entry level Basic db Technologies cabs retail for almost double that figure (just under £400) , with the smallest in the Opera Live range starting around £440.

however something like this may be worth looking at, Ross

basic, but would do the job and seems reasonable for the money.

Just to add to that - we know the Company that's selling those on eBay, and the 'free speaker cables' that they give away are usually pretty good quality ones

Quite right Tony and maybe I was going off at a tangent, but I thought the configurator might be useful

However you can obtain a pair of DBs for £280 per pair

C'mon Ross... Skytech 10"?
Have you read the reviews on those?
'Bedroom monitors' & 'home use'.
Don't waste your money.

I was in a local electrical shop this morning and they had them on sale in there.

£35 each.

I'll leave you to your own conclusions.
