Has anyone got any of these and, if so, what is your opinion of them ?

Also, what 'simple' controller will allow them to dim and/or select a particular colour ?

I don't have any, but judging by the specs, you'd be better going for the Showtec Par 56 LEDs. I've just picked some up at a very good price of £50 each all in, from a big UK distributor, although you can get them from Thomann.de at a good price.

Any standard DMX controller will work. I use a Martin 2510 programmed with lots of different shows (programmed by Martin LightJockey software which you can download for free). You can usually pick these up on eBay at the right price.

Regards,

Jamie

Thanks for this Jamie - have you got a link to the SHOWTEC'S and/or controller ?

Thomann do both the showtec and the cheaper stairville (their own brands)
